A Message from Our Founder
"After dedicating my career to educating and mentoring young people, I realized that many students needed more than academic instruction — they needed guidance, encouragement, leadership opportunities, and someone who believed in their potential. Green Pathways to Success and GPS Leadership Academy were created to meet that need. My vision is to build an organization that not only prepares students for graduation but also equips them with the confidence, character, and leadership skills to succeed throughout life. About GPS Leadership Academy
GPS Leadership Academy is the educational division of Green Pathways to Success, Inc., a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2023 by veteran Miami educator Denise V. Green. After nearly three decades of serving students in public education, Ms. Green recognized the growing need for leadership development, character education, mentoring, and life-readiness programs that extend beyond the traditional classroom.
The Crisis We're Solving
The Education Recovery Scorecard, compiled by researchers at Harvard and Stanford, identified Florida as experiencing the nation's largest decline in reading growth between 2022 and 2025. GPS Leadership Academy exists to bridge that gap.

GPS Leadership Academy empowers students through leadership development, mentoring, academic enrichment, life-readiness education, and community engagement — preparing young people to become confident leaders who create lasting positive change in their schools and communities.

- 1997 — Denise V. Green begins teaching with Miami-Dade County Public Schools
- 2023 — Green Pathways to Success, Inc. founded as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit
- 2024 — Expansion of mentoring, leadership, and youth development programming
- 2025 — Community partnerships expand; donor support and educational resources grow
- 2026 — GPS Leadership Academy officially launches as the organization's educational division
- 2026 — GPS Brands launches as the Academy's mission-driven social enterprise
- Future — Regional academies, scholarships & national partnerships
